Fourth Grade Reading Requirements
Each student is required to read at least 5 chapter books over the course of the school year. These books should be 4th grade reading level or above and must be teacher approved. Most of these books have a specific theme and project. Some have a simple written report.
Our classroom library has a variety of books students may borrow. Don’t forget to check out the public library or Scholastic Book Clubs, they are both wonderful resources. Students will be expected to have a book at school daily to be read during our 15 minute SSR time (Sustained Silent Reading).
